DEAR SARAH AND JESSE

So I've decided to revive this blog since we have all neglected it with a conversation starter
...voila this glorious master piece.
First of all I'd like to comment on how much I adore the texture in this piece. The subtle interweaving of colors due to the "wet on wet" approach by this artist is just marvelous. I think the shape design is quite unique as well and lastly the water mark just tops it all! Magnum Opus...thoughts?

Mr. Flint Russel

I was looking through my head painting folder and came across this painting and thought to myself "why cant my arms be as toned as hers! ughhhhhhh!!!"
Beautiful piece, I like the stylization in design as well as the interesting palette here, cool composition as well!

Old Man by John Ottis Adams

I hope I look like this when I'm old. Just look at that light!

Nikolaos Lytras

Found this painter a while back and I'm pretty sure I've shown you guys this piece which I absolutely love. The rest of his work his pretty mediocre with the exception of a few of these phenomenal little portrait studies, look him up when you get a chance!

This hand is a bit femmy for a little boy but still lovely none the less...

Today's inspiration

I just had to share this painting by Abbott Handerson Thayer. There are only a few paintings that I never seem to tire of--even though my tastes and preferences change so much. This is one of them.

Excited about this new forum to share thoughts, critique, and collaborate!
